Booking with a company on RideBits
Your operator's page — ridebits.app/theirname — gets you the app; their link or QR code adds them automatically (you'll always see who you're joining and confirm first — never a silent join). Already in the app? Add any company by typing its handle. One account works with every company you ride with.
Booking and paying
Most companies quote automatically — you see the full, itemized price per vehicle before you confirm; some price each trip personally and confirm the price with you. If your operator takes cards, your card is saved when you book, not charged — the operator charges it per their own policy (some take a deposit up front, some charge after the trip), and your receipt in the app shows every payment. Payments go to your operator directly — RideBits never holds your money. For refunds, talk to your operator: it's their business and their call. Some operators publish their own booking terms — if yours has, you'll review and agree to them as part of booking.
Paying a request
Sometimes your operator asks for a card — to pay for a trip, or to keep on file for your trips with them. In the app it arrives in your chat with them, with a notification: Payment requested with a Pay button showing the amount, or Card requested with Add a card. Your operator can also send you a private link that opens the same request in your browser. Paying is one step: pick or add a card and press Pay — the card is saved and the amount paid together. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment — a code, or a tap in your banking app — sometimes once as the card is saved and again for the payment. Card details go straight to Stripe; your operator never sees the full number. A link works for 7 days — if yours has run out, ask your operator for a new one.
A company booked trips for you
A company can book for you before you're on RideBits, and send you a trip summary or a card link from their own phone. To see all your trips with them, tap See your trips on one of those pages and confirm your phone number with a code — or sign up in the RideBits app with the number they have for you. You'll see that they have you on their list: tap Accept and the trips they booked for you come with you, and a card you added through their link stays yours. Nothing is shared with you until you accept, and declining changes nothing.
Changes and cancelling
Need a different time or address? Send a change request from the trip — your operator approves it and the trip updates automatically. Cancelling is done from the trip too — cancellation terms are your operator's own policy, so check with them.
During the trip
Once a driver is assigned you'll see who's coming — their name, and their photo when the company has one — on the booking itself and on the day. Watch your driver approach live on the map, and use the trip's own message thread — your operator's team and your driver are right there. Meeting someone at the other end? Share the trip from its page: they get a link showing live progress on a map — never the price or your payment details — and it stops working on its own after the trip. For anything outside a trip, most companies have a Help line in the app — a direct conversation with their front desk.
